After retiring from the United States Air Force, Jon found a new passion in the experiences gained while fishing and hunting--the alarm squeal of a Sika deer when startled; the HUGE bass that follows your lure all the way to the boat; or the witnessing of nature's many wonders while sitting silent and invisible in a tree stand. The possibility of bringing these types of experiences to Veterans, First Responders, and their families brought Jon to the Witkop Foundation.
"The desire to serve was a key reason I chose a military career, and that desire to serve still motivates me today." Through the Witkop Foundation, Jon brings a background in supply chain management, program management, and strategic leadership to serve the organization's mission to honor the sacrifices made by veterans, military, and first responder families. "The Witkop Foundation provides a way to combine the outdoor experience with a program to honor those families who gave so much--that's why I'm here."
